Bursary

We Care will offer some students a $1,000 bursary to complete their CCA Diploma and then work at We Care for at least one year. Talk to our Admissions Representative for full details on how to apply.

Qualifications Include:

 Enrolled in a CCA program

 Minimum of 12 hours of availability offered to We Care, evenings and weekends included

 Must be bondable, with a clear Criminal Record Check with VSS in the last 6 months

 Standard First Aid/CPR Level C

 Able to work flexible hours

 Reliable transportation

 Bending and lifting may be required

 Loyal, responsible and trustworthy

If you complete your placements with We Care and complete your CCA Certificate (including passing your provincial exam) with our Educational partner, we will offer a signing bonus to work with We Care. The commitment is one year of work.

Full Time Opportunity – Rural Areas

There is also an exciting opportunity for Full-time (FT) work with a 75 minimum to max of 80 hours bi -weekly in the St. Margaret’s Bay Area, Prospect, Peggy’s Cove, Hubbards, Windsor, Lake Echo, Porters Lake, North Preston, Musquodoboit, and Sambro areas where you will receive travel time pay of $29.00 per day.

After 6 months of FT employment you will receive a total of $400.00. The first $200.00 will be after 3 months and the second $200.00 after the end of the 6 month period.

Part Time Opportunity- Rural Areas

There is also an exciting opportunity for Part-time (PT) work with a 50 minimum bi- weekly if you work 60 hours bi-weekly  you will be entitled to Benefits  in the St. Margaret’s Bay Area, Prospect, Peggy’s Cove and Hubbards Windsor, Lake Echo, Porters Lake, North Preston, and Musquodoboit areas where you will receive travel time pay of $29.00 per day.

After 6 months of PT employment you will receive a total of $200.00. The first $100.00 will be after 3 months and the second $100.00 after the end of the 6 month period.

One Year Contract is required.

Full Time and Part Time Opportunity – Halifax,  Dartmouth, Bedford, Spryfield and Sackville Areas

After 6 months of FT employment you will receive a total $300.00. The first $150.00 will be after 3 months and the second $150.00 after the end of the 6 month period.

After 6 months of PT employment you will receive a total of $150.00. The first $75.00 will be after 3 months and the second $75.00 after the end of the 6 month period.

One Year Contract is required.

Casual Opportunities are always welcome with a commitment of working every second weekend.
