Youth Care Workers strive to improve the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of vulnerable children and adolescents. Graduates of the daVinci College Youth Care Worker program are prepared to facilitate change in children and adolescents who are experiencing a range of emotional, social, behavioural, and learning challenges. Child and youth care graduates work as practitioners and leaders in community agencies, government departments and educational institutions. Child and youth care as a profession is founded on a commitment to the well-being of children, youth, families and communities, and emphasizes developmental practice and social competency.

Graduates who enter at first year will find employment in community centres; educational/day treatment settings; school districts as child and youth workers; residential centres (child welfare, young offenders, and children's mental health); and family support programs.
